Why does the vSphere client install crash on Windows 8.1?!?

I was trying to figure out why nothing would happen after I tried to install the vSphere client on my Windows 8.1 workstation. Thanks to Brian’s quick tip, I was able to install it without a hitch:

Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:F:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
